TUA's Co-Directors Dr Natalie Allen and Greer O'Donnell win award at the 2026 NZPI Best Practice Awards
Here at TUA, our Urban Strategy practice brings research, policy, design, economics, and implementation into one integrated picture, ensuring projects hold together under pressure, not just on paper.
The success of this integrated approach was celebrated last week when Co-Directors Dr Natalie Allen and Greer O'Donnell picked up a Highly Commended award for the Whangārei Future Development Strategy at the NZPI Best Practice Awards (Strategic or Non-Statutory). This Strategy is a culmination of what can be achieved through spatial planning by considering past, present, and future realities - as well as the specific challenges and opportunities Whangārei faces.
Thank you to our collaborators on this one: InPlace Consulting, MRCagney and Northland Regional Council, and to our fantastic client Whangarei District Council.
