For this project, TUA supported a resident-led development in Ōtautahi Christchurch by developing an engagement tool to support their process.
The Challenge
An Urban Guild in Ōtautahi wanted to undertake several workshops with potential residents of a proposed residential development in central Christchurch.
The Solution
TUA worked alongside the members of the guild, Urban Apostles, to develop the assets and collateral required to successfully deliver the resident engagement. Building on best practice resident-led residential development projects from around the world, TUA developed a workbook that took the participants through an extensive process to understand what they wanted from their housing, how resident-led development worked and how they might be involved in the design process.
The Journey
TUA designed and commissioned the publication of a generic workbook that can be used by other groups, and drew on best practice while considering the unique context of Aotearoa.
